Bring Your Own Token

Energy Web X now supports Bring Your Own Token (BYOT) functionality, through a live XCM channel with Polkadot Asset Hub. This enables whitelisted assets to be supported on EWX, and to move seamlessly between EWX and Asset Hub.

BYOT is another step forward in the mission to increase the interoperability of Energy Web X, expanding the ecosystem and it's liquidity while enabling participation in a range of assets that fit a user's or enterprise's operational and business needs.

With BYOT, Solution Group Registrars can fund reward pools in any supported asset. Compute Node Operators can now earn rewards not only in $EWT but in supported Asset Hub assets such as $USDC.
