# Unlinking the Energy Web VCC Runtime Account

To unlink an Energy Web VCC Runtime account from the VCC Operator, simply follow the steps described below.

1. Visit the Energy Web X web app: <https://app.energywebx.com/verify/pools>
2. Connect your operator account
3. Go to My Pools tab and click on the settings icon on the right corner of the VCC Runtime Account section<br>

4. Click on the Unlink VCC Runtime menu item<br>

5. Confirm the prospective action<br>

6. Approve the transaction on your wallet<br>

7. Wait for the transaction to complete<br>

8. Once completed wait for few minutes for the data to be reflected on the application. The VCC Runtime Account must already be empty.
9. This will also make the status of the VCC Runtime Account on the VCC Runtime applications on desktops and servers be unlinked/deregistered.
