Acquiring an enterprise user role

Before acquiring an enterprise user role, it is important to identify in advance which roles are required.

In order to gain basic access to the EW Digital Spine Message Broker, the following roles are needed:

• user.roles.mb.apps.ddhub.energyweb.auth.ewc - basic role in order to gain access to the message broker

• topiccreator.roles.mb.apps.ddhub.energyweb.auth.ewc - optional role in order to gain write access to the topic management APIs of the message broker

Application-level enterprise user roles are also necessary to gain access to the data schemas of the target applications or projects. These roles must be identified in advance and must be created by the application or project owner/s. The creation of such roles are described in a separate document “DSDG-0002_EW Digital Spine_SSI-Hub Namespace Management”.

To acquire the EW Digital Spine Message Broker roles, simply visit the Switchboard web dApp and follow below steps:

1. Connect your EWC Account using Metamask

   
2. Confirm the sign-in request

   
3. Confirm the signature request

   
4. The screen redirects to the dashboard where the DID of the enterprise user is displayed as highlighted in the red box
