Creating and Funding an EWC Account

Since the EW Digital Spine Client GW is a web-based application, it is strongly recommended that users install the MetaMask extension before continuing with the guide.

Creating a new wallet

1. For first time users, a new wallet needs to be set up. Click “Get Started” and then “Create a Wallet”.

2. Create a strong password for the wallet, you will be prompted to enter this password each time you open MetaMask

3. A 12-word secret recovery phrase will be generated. Write this down and store it somewhere safe as this is the only way for you to recover the wallet. Keep it secure and private.

4. Confirm the phrase when prompted.

5. An Ethereum account will be created as “Account 1” as default.

Adding EWC Network

1. To add EWC Network in your MetaMask, click on the network dropdown at the top of the extension and choose “Add a custom network”

2. Fill in the network details and click “Save”

3. Network name: Energy Web Chain

4. Default RPC URL: https://rpc.energyweb.org

5. Chain ID: 246

6. Currency symbol: EWT

7. Block explorer URL: https://explorer.energyweb.org

Funding an EWC Account

To fund an EWC Account, simply go to any platform that offers EWT exchange. The CoinMarketCap may be used to find available markets that support EWT such as Kraken and KuCoin.
